| NSF
International, celebrated 65 years as an independent organization
that not only writes standards and practices for national public health,
but also specifically provides certification for the safety of dietary
supplements and other consumer goods. Recognized both nationally and
internationally, NSF has also collaborated with the World Health Organization
(WHO) on many food safety issues that affect people around the globe.
The dietary supplements industry has benefited from
NSF's offerings of compliance and standards education through training
and independent audits since the introduction of the cGMP's. Through
their creation of testing labs in 1952, dietary supplement certification
programs in 2003 and the NSF's organizational expansion from the
US to Europe in 1985 and China in 2006, the NSF has come a long
way as a world recognized and trusted leader in support of the dietary
supplement industry.
