DNP
Releases 1st Quarter Figures, Peaks Sales In March
SANTA
FE SPRINGS, Calif. (April 20, 2009) While difficult economic circumstances
have constrained several businesses, DNP managed to set a new March
sales record. Management has reported an increase in sales of 7.47%
in the month of March compared to last year during the same month.
Throughout the first quarter of 2009, DNPs sales increased from
2008s 4th quarter, although they trailed last years January
and February figures before rebounding in March. DNP closed the first
quarter at 98% of last years first quarter, one of DNPs
highest historical quarters.
While our numbers were slightly below last years
in the first two months of last quarter, we feel very good about
our sales moving forward this year, said David Ji, president
of DNP International. Our goal is to continue increasing our
sales through this second quarter and the second half of 2009.
In the fourth quarter of 2008, the slow holiday
season along with industry slowdown due to increased raw material
prices and cGMP implementations resulted in the companys lowest
sales quarter of the year. However, the progressive increase in
sales as of the 1st of the year indicates the strength in the nutritional
supplements industry and in DNP Internationals quality ingredients.
